American icon and country legend Willie Nelson evidently doesn’t believe 19 terrorists are responsible for the tragedies of 9/11. He likens the “symmetrical” way that the towers fell to the appearence of an intentional building demolition, and makes the leap that 9/11 was therefore an inside job.
He said the following on a nationally syndicated radio show hosted by Alex Jones on Monday:
“I certainly do,” Nelson said when asked if he questions the official story. “I saw those towers fall and I’ve seen an implosion in Las Vegas, there’s too much similarities between the two. And I saw the building fall that didn’t get hit by nothing,” Willie said. “So, how naive are we, you know, what do they think we’ll go for?”
“I saw one fall and it was just so symmetrical, I said wait a minute, I just saw that last week at the casino in Las Vegas and you see these implosions all the time and the next one fell and I said hell there’s another one – and they’re trying to tell me that an airplane did it and I can’t go along with that,” said Nelson.
Emmylou Harris once said, “If America could sing with one voice, it would be Willie’s.” As an American and a huge fan of Willie, these comments are surprising and disappointing.

Well keep this in mind vis a vis the Willie Nelson comments: the man smokes a LOT of marijuana. That, and his bus was pulled over a couple of years ago and law enforcement found a bunch of psychedelic mushrooms. The guy is like 80 years old and he’s still smoking and taking drugs…so I’d imagine that the years of psychoactive drug abuse have most likely affected his ability to use logic and reason.
He’s still #1 on my list of ‘Celebrities I Want to Hang Out With,’ followed closely by Tom Petty.
I’m glad one more person speaks out in public about the doubts around 9/11. Everyone who can think clear and looks at the facts and only the facts will tell you there was something wrong with the towers collapsing. And if you don’t see any problem with that, look at the third building that collapsed without being hit.
Willie Nelson is merely an icon of America’s intellectual, liberal driven community. He is not necessarily advocating a mistrust for his government, but rather representing the opinions of the country’s less biased population. I must admit that the collapsing towers looked fishy, however Willie Nelson is just speaking out as a social responsibility to the American people. Drug use under no circumstances should be used as a scape goat in countering anyone’s opinion. This is an immense mistake on the part of anyone manipulated to the point of believing that drugs or any foreign body will diffuse an individual’s message from his or her’s original good intentions. Respect is key.
